At the heart of Ashwood Gardens & Nursery is our greenhouse. Not only does the structure house our beautiful hanging baskets, great selection of summer annuals and tropical plants, but also unusual gift items, containers, gardening tools and supplies. The 10,000 square foot structure provides high vaulted ceilings and bright light. Customers often enjoy passing the time wondering about the pleasant surroundings.

Seasonal Color

At Ashwood Gardens & Nursery, we pride ourselves on our selection of annuals and exotic tropicals that can bring fantastic color and texture to your landscape and container plantings. Many of the varieties we provide are grown in our own greenhouses including over 25 varieties of coleus. We carry many hard to find annuals like moonflower vine, four types of elephant ear, and many more.

We are a certified Proven Winner garden center and carry a large selection of these popular plants. If you are searching for "Diamond Frost", Supertunias, or Superbells- we have them. These can also be seen throughout the garden center in display beds and containers.

Herbs and Vegetable Plants

Our selection of Herbs are growing every year. We now grow most of them on the premises. We have basic culinary herbs to aromatic herbs- Looking for Patchoulli or Lovage? We have it. If we don't carry it, tell us and next season we will!

For the home vegetable gardener, we stock an extensive selection of plants- from 4 packs to some gallons. We now have expanded our "hot peppers" plants to include at least 12 varieties. We also carry heirloom varieties of tomatoes such as Black Krim, Mortgage LIfter, Cherokee Purple, Rutgers, Brandywine and Sun Gold Cherry. Also, select from our other vegetable plants like cucumbers, peppers, melons and eggplant including "Ichiban". 

Indoor plants

Whether you need a 4” African violet or a 6’ weeping fig, our tropical department offers a selection to fill most needs. Our flowering houseplants are brought in fresh so that you may enjoy the bloomtime the longest. Our friendly sales staff will answer any questions on caring for your purchased houseplant.

Our young gardeners are always attracted to the venus fly-traps, and the array of cacti and succulents. The air plants are also a big hit and make great birthday gifts for the kid who has everything!!

Gifts and Containers

Our gift buyers are always on the lookout for unique and special items for the garden and home. For first time visitors, Ashwood Gardens & Nursery’s gift and container department is a pleasant surprise. You’ll  find garden flags, windchimes, birdhouses and feeders, fairy gardening supplies and much more. So come find that perfect gift for a special friend or even treat yourself– you deserve it!

With one of the best selections of garden containers in the area, the hardest part will be choosing the right one. Our indoor ceramic choices include orchid pots, self-watering African violet pots as well as hanging ceramic pots and a great assortment of traditional pots in an array of colors and patterns for most any décor. Our selection of outdoor decorative pots include terra cotta, glazed, and concrete, as well as the urethane and molded lighter weight pots. To accessorize your pots, you will find obelisks, trellises, an assortment of plant picks, and pot huggers--
